Does life seem to be getting busier by the minute? If you’re like me, you’re probably juggling countless responsibilities, constantly trying to balance it all. But what if I told you the key to feeling abundant, resourceful, and empowered might already be right in front of you? Yes, it’s all about making the most of what you already have.
Welcome to the Optimizing Era
I’ve officially declared this phase of my life my “optimizing era.” It’s all about using what’s within reach, letting go of perfectionism, and chasing my dreams with courage (even when it’s terrifying). I want to invite you to join me on this journey. If I can take these steps—knees shaking and all—I know you can too.
And if consistency is where you tend to struggle, you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll work on building habits that stick, so you can show up for yourself in meaningful ways.
The Lie of "Not Enough"
One of the biggest challenges many of us face is the lie that we need more before we can start. More time, more money, more skills. This scarcity mindset convinces us we’re not ready, and imposter syndrome often tags along to deepen the doubt. But here’s the truth: “You either have it, or you don’t” is a myth. Almost everything can be learned and improved—and that begins by fully appreciating and using what you already have.
When I created Cultivated Excellence, it wasn’t because I had everything perfectly figured out. It came from a place of struggle—trying to hold it all together and realizing that I didn’t have to hide the fact that I needed help. By embracing my imperfections and focusing on growth, I found a way to thrive. And so can you.
Why Using What You Have Matters
When you start with what’s already in your hands, something incredible happens:
-
You feel abundant. Instead of focusing on what you lack, you see all the tools, talents, and resources already available to you. This shift changes everything—you begin to realize just how much you already have to work with.
-
You feel resourceful. Making the most of what’s around you sparks creativity. It pushes you to think outside the box and find innovative solutions. That resourcefulness builds confidence and opens doors you never knew existed.
-
You feel empowered. Taking action with what you have reinforces that you’re capable of making things happen. It reminds you that growth and progress aren’t about being perfect; they’re about starting where you are and moving forward.
The Power of Imperfection
We live in a world that glorifies having it all together, but the truth is, none of us do. The beauty of this journey is that you don’t need to be an expert or have every detail planned out. Growth happens in the imperfections, and by showing up as your authentic self, you’ll inspire others to do the same.
Cultivating Excellence, Together
It’s not about who you are in this moment or how prepared you feel. It’s about growing into the person you want to become. Remember, “God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called” (1 Cor 1:27). When you start with what you have and trust the process, you’ll discover just how much you’re capable of achieving.
We’re so excited about everything happening here at Cultivated Excellence, and we’d love for you to be a part of it. Let’s move forward together, embracing our imperfections and cultivating excellence every step of the way.
In the coming weeks I'll continue to share how I am using what I have so make sure you sign up for the "Use What You Have Challenge" to get weekly emails and the chance to win a planner! Follow me on social media and subscribe to my YouTube channel for video updates and encouragement as well!
Thank you for joining me in this pursuit of abundance, resourcefulness, and empowerment. The best is yet to come.
